|Integrated Urban Surveillance System for Nairobi|
In line with the Ministry of Nairobi Metropolitan Development goal of ensuring a safe and secure Nairobi Metropolitan Region as captured in Nairobi Metro 2030 blueprint and the National Vision 2030, an inter-ministerial committee was formed to spearhead the Integrated Urban Surveillance System for the region.
The Ministry advertised an International Tender on June 5, 2012 inviting bidders for supply, installation, testing, commissioning and handing over of Integrated Urban Surveillance System for Nairobi Metropolitan Area – Nairobi City Business District (CBD).
|MONMED’s Signs Kshs 25 Billion with World Bank to Finance Services|
The Nairobi Metropolitan Services Improvement Project (NaMSIP) loan amounting to Kshs 25.24 billion has been signed. This follows request by the government of Kenya to the Bank to help with its urban transformation. NaMSIP is one of the three projects with different element of urban development that were identified for financing.

|Nairobi Fire Department receives new Metz Aerial Ladder vehicle|
Following an order from the Ministry of Nairobi Metropolitan Development, Metz Aerials has delivered an L56 aerial ladder to the Nairobi City Council Fire Department in Kenya. Together with several Rosenbauer pumper trucks, this customized piece of equipment forms an integral part of the “Nairobi Growth and Development Strategy” that has been drawn up for the booming Kenyan capital.
