East African Community (EAC) recognizes Nairobi Metro Clean up
The East African Community (EAC) has recognized the initiative being made by the Ministry of Nairobi Metropolitan Development to protect and conserve environment within the Nairobi Metropolitan Development.

The message by the EAC was conveyed to the ministry by the Communitys Principal Health Officer Dr.Stanley Sonaiya who was sent to represent the EAC at the ministrys Clean-Up exercise held at Tala-Kangundo Town Council on January 16th 2010.

Dr. Sonaiya said the East African Community was impressed by the effort being undertaken by the Ministry of Nairobi Metropolitan development in cleaning up the metro region and appeal to other EAC member countries which had not initiated the programme to do so.
