pc_seniorsOne of the unstated motto of the Ministry of Nairobi Metropolitan Development is “to do things unusually “It is no “longer business as usual

The Ministry immediately after its creation in March 2008, set out to formulate a road map, ‘The Nairobi Metro 2030 Strategy’, which is a blue Print document of the immediate, medium and long-term activities/projects and Programmes it will undertake up to the year 2030 in an endeavor to transform the Nairobi Metropolitan Region into a ‘World class African Metropolis’.

One Result Area the Ministry is set to deliver on is “Building World Class Governance Systems” within the Ministry, the 15 Local Authorities and other Governance Bodies within the Nairobi Metropolitan Region.

The Governance system will aim at creating certainty for Private Investment, improving the informational base, strengthening citizen participation and keeping the Nairobi Metro 2030 strategy dynamic and responsive to change.

Institutional, managerial and financial interventions will be incorporated into the Governance Frameworks to produce new policies, services and tools. Measures are put in place to promote active collaboration between different parties including Neighbouring areas, Government spheres, Private sectors and other stakeholders.
